How to easily know 10 locations after e-passport application in Bangladesh

Analog time for passports in the country is running out day by day. Directorate of Bangladesh Passport and Immigration has moved towards digital. That is why e-passport has been launched for passport service aspirants. Soon after the launch of e-passport, many people are applying for e-passport online. But it takes around 30 days for general applicants to get e-passport. After applying for e-passport, the applicant can easily know the location of the passport.

You can easily ‘check status’ about the latest status of e-passport by visiting the Bangladesh Passport and Immigration Directorate (https://www.epassport.gov.bd/authorization/application-status) link.
** 10 types of status are shown to the applicant after e-passport application.
- ‘Submitted’ (Submitted) – The message indicates that. Passport application has been successfully submitted to Passport Office web server.
2, ‘Appointment Scheduled’ (Appointment Scheduled) – the message indicates that. Applicant’s appointment schedule is complete.
- “Enrollment in Process” (Enrollment in Process). This message is submitted by the hard copy of the applicant’s application form (with photograph and fingerprint) to the passport office. Applications are in process. This step takes 1-2 days to complete.
- ‘Pending SB Police Clearance’ (Pending SB Police Clearance). Special Branch (SB) of Police requires new passport application clearance This process takes 3-10 days to complete. In some cases it takes longer. Police officers can take as much time as possible for the sake of fair investigation. He reports only when fully satisfied.
- ‘Pending Final Approval’ (Pending Final Approval). The application is awaiting the approval of the Assistant Director (AD) of the Passport Office after giving a satisfactory report on police verification. This step takes 1-4 days to complete.
- ‘Approved’, the message means – the Assistant Director (AD) of the Directorate has approved the printing of the passport. The process takes 1-3 days to complete.
- By seeing ‘Pending in Print Queue’, the applicant should understand that the passport has been sent for printing. The process takes 3-14 days to complete.
- ‘Passport Shipped’ – The message indicates that the passport has been successfully printed and sent to the Regional Passport Office.
This step takes 1-3 days to complete. - ‘Passport Ready for Issuance’ means the passport has reached the Regional Passport Office. Applicants can visit the office at certain times of the day to collect the passport.
- After receiving the passport, a ‘passport issued’ message is sent to the applicant’s mobile number and e-mail.
